Activities to the South

South of Upper Fraser Ranch Chalets is a valley between the Rocky Mountains, the Monashee Mountains and the Cariboo Mountains.

This valley is dominated by the town of Valemount B.C. It is the trading and administrative centre for this part of the province of British Columbia. Shopping, the local library, golf courses, a museum, a theatre and churches are all available services.

As well as hiking trails, Valemount also offers a unique birding experience: the Cranberry Marsh Sanctuary. This wet-land preserve features a series of boardwalks that allow safe and comfortable access to otherwise inaccessible terrain.
